Karnataka Forest, Wildlife & Climate Change Foundation

What we do

Our Core Objectives for Environmental and Social Impact

Forest Conservation and Biodiversity Protection

We support efforts that safeguard Karnataka’s diverse ecosystems through afforestation, wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and the conservation of endangered species. Our goal is to ensure long-term ecological stability and the preservation of biodiversity hotspots.

Sustainable Rural Development

We integrate conservation with livelihood security by enabling rural communities to participate in eco-friendly income-generating activities such as agroforestry, native seed farming, and nature-based tourism.

Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for Environmental Sustainability

We foster collaborative models where government institutions, private sector leaders, and local communities co-create high-impact environmental projects with shared accountability and measurable outcomes.

Infrastructure Development

We support the development of nature-sensitive infrastructure including forest monitoring stations, eco-tourism facilities, renewable energy setups, and community resource centers that serve both conservation and local development goals.

Carbon and Green Credit Systems

We enable forest-based carbon credit projects and green credit initiatives in line with national frameworks, helping partners align with ESG goals while contributing directly to carbon neutrality.

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

From carbon sequestration projects to climate-resilient agriculture and infrastructure, we fund scalable solutions that reduce emissions and help vulnerable communities adapt to a changing climate.

Water Resource Management and Restoration

Our programs focus on rejuvenating water bodies, restoring catchment areas, improving groundwater recharge, and implementing nature-based solutions for water conservation in forest and fringe areas.

Environmental Education and Capacity Building

We design awareness programs, field workshops, and training initiatives to strengthen community engagement, build local leadership, and nurture a new generation of conservation professionals.

Innovation and Research

We fund and facilitate applied research, data-driven monitoring, and technological innovation that drive evidence-based policy and practical solutions for forest, wildlife, and climate-related challenges.

Sustainable Energy Integration

We support clean energy adoption in forested and rural landscapes—solar fencing for crop protection, microgrids for eco-centers, and energy-efficient systems in community infrastructure.
